A MONTHLY GLOBAL JOURNEY FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES
Discover the World. Grow a Heart for Others.
Each month, explore a new country, meet a local ministry, learn about the people who live there, and discover simple ways your family can pray and respond together.
About World Encompass
World Encompass helps children and families discover God’s work around the world. Through monthly country journeys, families learn about real places, meet the people who live there, discover faithful local ministries, and find simple ways to pray and respond together.
We believe children can grow up with a bigger view of the world and a deeper love for the people God made. By helping families learn, pray, care, and engage together, World Encompass seeks to raise a generation that sees the nations not as distant places, but as people and communities deeply loved by God.
The Need
Children are growing up in a big and connected world, but it can still be difficult for families to help them understand the people, cultures, and needs beyond their own community. Many parents want their children to grow in curiosity, compassion, and prayer, but they do not know where to begin.
Meanwhile, faithful local ministries are serving people around the world every day, yet their stories often remain unheard by the families and churches who would love to learn, pray, and care.
The Solution
World Encompass brings families closer to God’s work around the world by guiding children through one country and one trusted local ministry at a time. Instead of trying to understand the whole world at once, families are given a simple path to explore real places, meet real people, and discover how God is working through local ministries in their own communities.
Through stories, country discoveries, prayer, and meaningful ways to respond, children grow in understanding and compassion while families learn, pray, and care together.
How it Works
Week 1
Ministry Spotlight
The journey begins by introducing children and families to a trusted local ministry serving within the featured country. During this week, families discover who the ministry serves, how it cares for its community, and what God is doing through the people faithfully leading the work.
Through real stories, photos, ministry needs, and examples of impact, children begin to see that missions is not only something happening far away, it involves real people serving real communities. Families are invited to learn together, begin praying for the ministry, and grow in care for the people it serves.
Week 2
Discover the Nation
In Week 2, children and families step back to explore the featured country and better understand the place where the ministry serves. Families learn about its geography, cities, history, culture, faith, and some of the opportunities and challenges people may experience there.
As children discover the country, they begin to see it as more than a name on a map or a place from a history book. They learn that it is home to real families, neighborhoods, churches, and communities. This broader understanding helps families pray with greater care, understand the ministry’s work more clearly, and grow in love for the people who call that nation home.
Week 3
Meet the People
In Week 3, children and families look beyond maps and statistics to meet the real people who call the featured country home. Families learn about daily life, family and community, food, school, work, traditions, personal stories, joys, and challenges.
As children learn more about the people of the nation, distant places begin to feel more personal. They discover that every person has a name, a story, and God-given value. This deeper understanding helps families grow in compassion, pray more intentionally, and better understand the people and communities connected to the featured ministry.
Week 4
Pray, Support, and Engage
In Week 4, children and families bring the month’s journey together by responding to what they have learned. Families are guided to pray for the featured country, ministry, leaders, and people while discovering simple ways to care, share, give, and stay involved.
This final week helps children understand that learning is only the beginning. Even from far away, families can pray for real needs, encourage faithful ministries, share what they have discovered, and take meaningful next steps together. The goal is to help children see that they can be part of God’s work around the world.
